Credit Controller - Just Outside Dudley

£28,000 - £32,000 | On-site | Manufacturing Sector

We're working with a long-standing manufacturing business based just outside Dudley, who are looking to bring in an experienced Credit Controller to join their small, supportive finance team.

This is a newly created position due to a team restructure and will focus on taking ownership of the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of payments. You'll be joining a business that prides itself on its stability, investment in people, and down-to-earth team culture.

There's lots of structure already in place, but they're looking for someone who can bring their own ideas to the table and take real ownership of their part of the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for credit control and chasing outstanding payments
• Daily cash posting and allocation
• Raising and issuing invoices and credit notes
• Producing aged debt and DSA reports
• Running monthly credit management meetings
• Liaising with Commercial and Quality teams around queries or disputes
• Supporting wider finance team with ledger and reporting tasks as needed

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

• Previous experience in credit control and sales ledger
• Confident managing customer accounts and building relationships
• Comfortable using Excel and accounting software
• Able to work independently and bring ideas for process improvements
• Proactive, reliable, and happy in a fully office-based environment
