Credit Controller

Reed Accountancy are working with an established firm in central Ipswich to recruit a Credit Controller on a full time, permanent basis. Please note this is a fully office based position.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Managing and reducing aged debt across a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Building strong relationships with clients to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and queries.
• Issuing statements, reminders, and chasing overdue accounts via phone and email.
• Working closely with the wider finance team to support month-end processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar).
• A proactive and professional approach to credit management.
