Job Description - Credit Controller

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a market leader based in their Northampton office where you’ll will take full ownership of their credit control function. This is a standalone role, offering autonomy and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a growing business.

Role: Credit Controller
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000
Location: Northamptonshire

Key Responsibilities but not all:

Manage the end-to-end credit control process, including chasing outstanding payments, resolving queries, and maintaining accurate records.
Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments.
Monitor aged debt reports and improve cash flow through effective credit management.
Work closely with finance to support month-end reporting and audits.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in a standalone credit control role.
Organised, resilient, and able to work independently.
Familiarity with accounting systems and Excel proficiency.
Strong in Excel
Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience in a similar Credit Control role.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Proactive, adaptable, and able to approach problem-solving with a positive mindset.
