My client, a well-established SME in the food industry now has an excellent opportunity for a Credit Controller to join their friendly team near Oldham.

Main duties:

• Check all bank accounts daily (multi -currency) for two companies, and allocate to customers' accounts
• Chase customers' debt via telephone and email (approx. 400 customers)
• Perform credit checks on new customers, and monitor existing customers
• Liaise with customers and the sales team to resolve invoice queries, and follow up until resolved
• Investigate credit claims and raise credit notes
• Balance debtors monthly returns for invoice financing
• Record accurate notes of chasing debts, and follow up non-payments
• Recognise changes in customers' payment patterns
• Email statements and copy invoices/credit notes
• Bank Reconciliations

The ideal candidate:

• Although this is a stand-alone credit control role, the ideal candidate must also work as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
• Must been organised, driven and enthusiastic, and be able to manage their own workload
• Must have previous credit control experience
• Must have Excel knowledge
