Client Details

Michael Page are recruiting on behalf of our well-established client looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join their finance team. You will play a key role in managing the company's credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payments, maintaining healthy cash flow, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Description

Key responsibilities of a Credit Controller will include:

• Monitor and manage outstanding debtor balances across customer accounts

• Contact clients regarding overdue invoices via phone, email, and letter

• Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a professional and efficient manner

• Reconcile accounts and allocate incoming payments accurately

• Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve queries

• Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities

• Prepare weekly and monthly debtor reports for management

• Assess credit risk and assist with setting credit limits for new and existing clients

Profile

A successful Credit Controller will have:

• Proven experience in credit control

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

• Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Xero)

• A calm and professional manner when dealing with challenging situations
