Credit Controller

Salary: £27,000–£30,000 | Flexible & Hybrid

Leap29 is a dynamic, fast-growing global recruitment business. We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Wilmslow head office. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Your Role

As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our credit control processes and supporting the wider finance function. Your duties will include:

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee a portfolio of ~50 international clients, ensuring timely payment of invoices.

· Accurately post and reconcile bank receipts across multiple foreign currency accounts.

· Contractor sales invoicing for 30+ plus workers.

· Complex debtors reporting using excel formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot tables).

· Maintain and reconcile 5+ multi-currency sales ledgers.

· Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive effective debt collection strategies.

· Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50, Xero, and Exact Online.

· Import and verify sales invoices, ensuring data integrity.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance credit control efficiency.

· Support system transitions and contribute to finance process changes.

· Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll ideally bring:

· AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (essential).

· Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office (essential).

· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach (essential).

· Proven experience in a credit control role, ideally within a global or recruitment business (desirable).

· Knowledge of Sage 50, Xero, and Exact Online (desirable).

· Experience managing multi-currency accounts and international clients (desirable).

· High organised and able to meet tight deadlines (essential).
