Credit Controller

My client are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their London-based finance team. As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing credit and collections processes, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts, and supporting financial compliance. You will work with underwriting, finance, and operations teams while building strong relationships with external stakeholders to ensure timely premium and claims payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocating funds received for premiums and claims, and requesting closings/slips from brokers.
• Chasing debtors via calls, emails, and meetings to secure payments.
• Raising premium and claims payments.
• Identifying and escalating aged debt issues.
• Resolving unallocated cash and preventing misposting.
• Analysing and correcting booked premium discrepancies in liaison with technical and claims teams.
• Managing the shared Accounts Inbox.

Key Requirements

• Previous credit control experience within the London Market insurance industry (essential).
• Strong reconciliation skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Sequel Eclipse is advantageous but not essential.
