What you will do in your working day

For this role, you will:

• Check all new trade applications are completed by the customer and depot staff.
• Assess information from Credit Agency and approve account limit as necessary.
• Provide internal and external customers a polite and professional service.
• Direct telephone contact with depots and customers to resolve queries efficiently.
• Collect overdue accounts, complying with company policy.
• Communicate with team members, team leaders and managers to effect smarter working.
• Review and maintain case files as per guidelines.
• Ensure new accounts are processed and opened correctly within specified timelines.
• All trade applications are processed within agreed SLA’s.
• Collect all monies that are overdue and allocate cash as per guidelines.
• Making sure all telephone calls are answered within 3 rings.
• Ensure designated caseload is worked sufficiently and in accordance with predetermined business and court deadlines.

Credit Controller and Collector Apprenticeship Level 2

This Credit Controller and Collector apprenticeship is designed to develop the core knowledge, skills, and behaviours in credit management and collections principles, regulatory requirements, and professional standards, and enable an apprentice to apply these within their everyday role.

Our Credit Controller apprenticeship programme integrates two modules of technical training delivered in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) to achieve the Certificate in Credit Management.
