Job DescriptionRole SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join the group Group, providing comprehensive support across various financial functions including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and general finance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPurchase Ledger:Process staff expenses promptly and accurately.Match and file invoices and receipts, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.Address queries from suppliers, contractors, and internal departments regarding accounts payable and payments.Provide support for the purchase ordering system.Assist in the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.Liaise with account managers and the finance team to maintain ledger accuracy.Generate ad hoc reports such as departmental spend analysis.Sales Ledger:Review sales order documentation in compliance with company policies.Allocate valid purchase orders to the correct accounts.Assist in the order-to-billing process, escalating issues with operations to secure valid POs.Process monthly recurring revenue schedules and ensure timely invoicing.Maintain accurate invoicing information and issue sales invoices.Generate reports on sales invoices and monitor cash collection.Communicate with customers to ensure timely payments and account updates.General:Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations.Generate milestone, annuity, and PO reports, collaborating with account managers for updates.Update and maintain finance spreadsheets accurately.Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making.Ensure associate time records are correct and up to date.Participate in monthly revenue analysis and collaborate with project teams for accurate forecasting.Provide ad hoc support to the Financials team as needed.Assist in providing information for audits and work with external accountants to facilitate smooth audit processes.Key Skills and Attributes:2-3 years of experience in a similar finance role.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.Someone who is systems curious with strong analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.Knowledge of auditing processes and regulatory compliance is a plus.Additional Information:This position offers opportunities for growth and professional development within the finance department.The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders across the organisation to support financial operations and decision-making processes.Flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities for success in this role, as tasks may
