Credit Controller (French Speaking)

• Location: West London, Hybrid Working

• Salary: £30,000-£35,000 DOE

Reed is working with a leading FMCG organisation who are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to play a pivotal role in managing customer debts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. This position is crucial for helping the business achieve its working capital and cash flow targets. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with Key Account Managers and Commercial Finance teams to resolve issues and optimise cash flow.

• Credit Control:

  • Ensure all customers adhere to agreed payment terms and pay in full and on time.
  • Investigate unpaid invoices promptly to resolve any issues.
  • Process daily cash receipts on SAP and manage remittances to ensure accurate cash allocation.
  • Minimise unallocated cash and maintain high accuracy in cash allocations.
  • Regularly review aged debtors to identify overdue payments, analyse reasons for non-payment, and take necessary action.
  • Develop and execute action plans to prioritise problem areas, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Provide regular updates to the Financial Controller on progress regarding aged debt and overdue accounts.

• Planning, Reporting & Insight:

  • Develop and execute plans for processing large volumes of Debit Notes and Customer Invoices.
  • Provide detailed analysis of aged debt, highlighting problem areas and suggesting solutions.
  • Create KPIs to measure performance, such as debtor days, percentage of overdue accounts, and percentage of invoices paid on time.
  • Prepare and present monthly Debtors Review to the Financial Controller and CFO.

• Minimise Outstanding Deductions:

  • Maintain a Contra Tracker to capture all deductions.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Commercial Finance to expedite the resolution of deductions and invoice processing.
  • Review outstanding deductions and remove roadblocks for efficient processing.
  • Chase Key Account Managers for prompt approval or resolution of Price Claims and Penalties.

• Solid experience in Credit Control, particularly in environments with high invoice volumes and key customer relationships.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Strong communication skills, capable of summarising key performance drivers for senior leadership.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working in manufacturing or FMCG sectors is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting software.
• Fluent in French.
