We’re excited to be supporting a highly respected, international business as they look to expand their UK finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and detail-focused Credit Controller to join a company that values its people, offers genuine hybrid flexibility, and supports personal and professional growth.

The Role Reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll work within a collaborative and high-performing finance team. The focus will be on managing the Accounts Receivable function for the Polish, Czech and Slovak customer base (approximately 200 accounts), as well as supporting with general finance tasks and reporting.
This role requires a balance of strong credit control experience, commercial awareness, and exceptional customer service skills. You'll play a key part in protecting revenue and ensuring seamless customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable

• Set up and maintain credit accounts in JD Edwards (JDE)
• Evaluate creditworthiness and recommend appropriate limits
• Build strong, trust-based customer relationships
• Accurately allocate daily receipts
• Use TermSync to manage collections and direct debit activity
• Release and monitor held orders with Sales input
• Maintain aged debt at 99%+ current through proactive contact
• Negotiate and manage realistic repayment plans
• Be the go-to expert for collection processes in Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia
• Handle escalations and legal recoveries where necessary

General Finance Support

• Raise sundry sales invoices and marketing credits
• Produce weekly and monthly debt reports for Sales and management
• Complete customer credit references

Customer Service & Collaboration

• Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
• Resolve queries efficiently and professionally
• Partner with Sales to ensure outstanding customer experience
• Attend customer meetings to provide account performance insight
• Make confident commercial decisions to protect the business and serve clients effectively

What We’re Looking For
Essential:

• Fluent in Polish and English (written and verbal)
• 2+ years of credit control experience
• Excellent telephone manner: friendly yet assertive
• Solid Excel/Word/email skills
• Detail-oriented, organised and proactive

Desirable:

• Czech and/or Slovak language skills
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems
• Background in retail, wholesale or consumer sectors
