Crew Member

As a member of our crew, you are not just serving desserts. You are creating a moment of indulgence and an experience that customers remember. We need someone who can balance careful dessert preparation with warm, energetic and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Dessert Preparation: Prepare fresh ingredients and assemble Dolci Vita desserts to our quality, portion and presentation standards.
• Order Accuracy (POS + Delivery Platforms): Prepare, label and pack orders accurately for in-store, website orders and delivery apps.
• Customer Excellence: Provide friendly, fast, energetic and professional service to every customer. Welcome and acknowledge customers, communicate clearly and confidently, provide excellent customer service and help create a memorable dine-in experience.
• Maintenance and Hygiene: Maintain a spotless, organised and food-safe workspace throughout the shift. This includes dishwashing, wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, emptying bins, cleaning customer areas and safely cleaning equipment.
• Opening and Closing: Follow strict opening and closing checklists to ensure the shop is fully prepared for service, cleaned and safely shut down at night.
• Teamwork & Communication: Support coworkers during rush periods, communicate clearly and confidently, help other stations when needed and follow manager direction.
• Attitude & Behaviour: Be energetic, welcoming, respectful, hardworking and willing to learn. Maintain a positive attitude even during busy periods.

Requirements

• Dessert / Hospitality Experience: Experience in a bakery, dessert shop, café, restaurant or fast-paced food environment is preferred. You must be comfortable with food handling and dessert assembly. Full training will be provided.
• Customer Focus: Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with customers. You should genuinely enjoy creating a great experience for people and understand the importance of making customers feel welcome and respected.
• Late Availability: Must be able to work late shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required. Our busiest hours are often in the evening.
• Multi-tasking: Ability to stay calm, energetic and efficient during rush periods while maintaining quality, accuracy, cleanliness and customer-service standards.
• Attention to Detail: Pride in presentation, packaging, cleanliness, consistency and order accuracy. If it is not good enough to serve, it is not good enough to send out.
• Reliability: Strong punctuality, attendance and work ethic, with clear communication if problems arise.
