?? Entry-Level Recruitment Opportunity in the Maritime Sector – Glasgow | £25,254 | Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm

Are you a recent maritime studies graduate looking to launch your career? Have you considered applying your industry knowledge to a people-focused, office-based role with real progression potential?
I’m currently supporting a global company, in their search for a Marine Personnel Officer based in Glasgow. This is a fantastic entry point into the world of maritime HR and recruitment, ideal for someone who understands life at sea and is keen to support seafarers from the shore side.

Why this role could be right for you:
  • You'll play a key role in coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, and deployment of crew members across a range of client vessels.
  • Your maritime studies background gives you a strong foundation to understand the needs of the crew, vessel types, and industry-specific compliance.
  • You’ll gain experience across recruitment, personnel coordination, logistics, and payroll—all essential HR functions within a dynamic global business.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for crew-related queries.
  • Coordinating crew appointments, travel, and employment documentation.
  • Supporting payroll processing, compliance checks, and personnel record keeping.
  • Working closely with clients, crew, and internal teams to ensure ships are manned with the right talent at the right time.
Who we’re looking for:
This role is ideal for someone who has:
  • A background in maritime studies or seafaring, and is looking to transition into an office-based role.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills.
  • An eagerness to learn and grow within a global company known for career development.
Why this role?
  • Be part of a respected global company with a family feel.
  • Enjoy a supportive and collaborative culture where your growth is prioritised.
  • Learn from industry experts in an environment that values your background and perspective.
  • £25,254 annual salary, Monday to Friday hours (8am–4pm), and a comprehensive support package.
