Job Description - Crisis Recovery Worker (Lancaster, Lancashire)

Outreach Crisis Recovery Worker

Location: Predominately remote based however there is a requirement to attend home/community visits where needed.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £24,243 - £28,930 per annum

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

About the role:

We are an outreach team in which work remotely and within the community (coffee shops, library's, walks etc and occasionally home visits). We are working to a recovery model, and are accessed by referral as either hospital preventions, step down, respite and crisis point support.

As a Day Recovery Worker, you will work in the outreach team in which work remotely and within the community (coffee shops, library's, walks etc and occasionally home visits). You will liaise with clinical teams to discuss referrals and clinical presentation of people using our services and make referral decisions based on this. You will support individuals who present in a range of ways, including low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, voice hearing, delusions, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts to develop their own coping strategies to deal with crisis situations. You will also participate in a group work programme to assist people using our services to deal with substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or physical abuse.

You will attend home visits, virtual and/or phone calls with people accessing the service.

Additionally, there could be a possibility to take on additional smaller groups if needed, to support the service.

About you:

It is important is that you have a caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team

  • Lived experience is welcomed
  • You should be able to easily adapt to new environments
  • You should have an interest in Mental health and/or experience within the sector
  • Have experience/skills of facilitating/co-facilitating groups
  • Driving licence desirable/beneficial if you do not live within the local areas
