CSA Engineer - Europe

Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects across Europe.

Our client builds and manages complex engineering and construction projects for some of the world's leading corporations, delivering across sectors including Enterprise and Hyperscale Data Centres, Advanced Technology & Life Sciences, and Fire Protection.

They're now seeking a CSA Engineer to manage the Civil, Structural and Architectural packages on a live data centre project in Vienna, reporting to the CSA Project Manager.

CSA Engineer Responsibilities

* Manage the CSA packages under your control, reporting to the CSA Project Manager.

* Manage site safety alongside the Project Manager, CSA Manager and safety lead, including set-up, management and close-out of the safety file, and manage QA alongside the QA Manager, ensuring subcontractors follow QA/QC procedures.

* Manage the project schedule in conjunction with the CSA Project Manager, Project Manager, consulting engineer and client requirements, ensuring subcontractors submit and meet their programme.

* Report weekly on any site events with a commercial impact (deviations, variations, delays) to ensure costs are captured and claimed.

* Support management of design deliverables related to the CSA package, reviewing drawings, technical submissions and construction/setting-out details, and maintain the link between design information and construction drawings.

* Support management of all costs associated with the package, including the CSA team, subcontractors, material deliveries/goods receipting, plant and equipment, variations and valuations.

* Manage all day-to-day site operations including the CSA site supervision team, coordinate between CSA subcontractors and interfaces, and manage subcontractor activities including weekly minuted meetings.

* Manage the client's snagging system, ensuring supervisors return weekly punch lists, and support close-out of Final Accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists and safety/QA files.

* Issue weekly progress reports (orders placed, materials expected, labour levels, WBS-based progress and risk items), schedule and track material deliveries, and maintain a weekly project photographic diary.

CSA Engineer Requirements:

* An engineering qualification or Construction Management qualification.

* 5-10 years' relevant experience with a proven record of coordinating and managing large projects.

* Good computer skills (Word, Excel etc.).

* Strong technical knowledge of CSA systems.

* Ability to attend and actively contribute to site, planning, coordination, engineering review and handover meetings, ensuring actions are closed out on time.

* Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
