CSCS Highways Groundworker - £22phr PAYE - 5 Years Work - Portsmouth

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for experienced CSCS Highways Groundworkers to join a major long-term highways reactive maintenance programme in Portsmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure up to 5 years of ongoing work, carrying out highways reinstatement and reactive maintenance works as part of a skilled two-person crew.

Start Date: 8th October
Pay Rate: £22.00 per hour PAYE
Duration: 5 years of work

Please note: Candidates must hold a valid Highway Passport to be considered for this role.

Your Role as a CSCS Highways Groundworker:

Carry out highways reinstatement and reactive maintenance works
Relay and renew paving slabs
Install and repair block paving
Install, repair and replace kerbs
Install and replace metal and wooden bollards, including dragon's teeth
Carry out concrete patching works
Install and repair pedestrian guard rails
Reset and renew manhole covers
Work as part of a two-person crew from a 3.5t flatbed vehicle
Complete works safely, efficiently and to the required standard
Maintain clean, safe and organised working areas
Follow all relevant health & safety procedures and site instructions
Report hazards, unsafe conditions and defects where required

What We're Looking For as a CSCS Highways Groundworker:

Must hold a valid Highway Passport
Valid CSCS card preferred
Previous experience in highways, groundworks, civils or reinstatement
Experience with paving slabs, block paving, kerbing or concrete works
Experience working on reactive maintenance or small highways jobs is advantageous
Good understanding of highways health & safety requirements
Reliable, hardworking and team-focused attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person crew
Full UK driving licence would be advantageous

Pay & Benefits:

£22.00 per hour PAYE

About the Work:

The role involves small, reactive highways maintenance and reinstatement jobs, ranging from individual slab replacements through to larger areas of approximately 50 slabs.

The successful candidates will be part of a two-person crew working from a 3.5t flatbed, carrying out a variety of reinstatement and maintenance tasks across the highways network.
