Are you an experienced MASH Social Worker looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced, high-performing Front Door service? We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Southwark for an experienced practitioner to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

This is an exciting time to join the service as the Front Door is being redesigned in line with the Families First Model, placing greater emphasis on early intervention, community support, and ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.

The Role

As a MASH Social Worker, you will:

* Screen and triage all incoming referrals within statutory timescales.

* Make robust threshold decisions based on risk, need, and available information.

* Gather and analyse information from partner agencies to support effective safeguarding decisions.

* Identify the most appropriate support pathways for children and families, including non-statutory and community-based services.

* Build positive and effective relationships with parents and carers from the first point of contact.

* Produce high-quality assessments and recommendations while managing a demanding workload.

* Contribute to the ongoing development of the Front Door service as it transitions to the Families First Model.

About You

To be considered, you must have:

* A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.

* At least 2–3 years' recent, consistent experience working within a MASH team.

* Strong experience making threshold decisions and screening referrals.

* A thorough understanding of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and statutory guidance.

* The ability to analyse information quickly and make sound, evidence-based decisions under pressure.

* Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.

* A strengths-based approach with the confidence to identify creative, community-led solutions for families.

* The ability to consistently deliver high-quality work within strict timescales.
