Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a respected education provider seeking an ambitious and inspiring Curriculum Manager to lead a highly successful Personal Development and PSHE programme for young people aged 16-19.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established, Ofsted-recognised curriculum while bringing fresh ideas, innovation and strategic leadership to its future development.
The Role
You will lead the design, development and delivery of a broad personal development curriculum covering areas such as:
* Mental health and wellbeing
* Relationships and sexual health
* Citizenship and politics
* Equality, diversity and inclusion
* Careers and employability
* Finance and economic awareness
* Sustainability and climate issues
* Identity, ethics and contemporary social topics
Key responsibilities include:
* Teaching approximately 12-14 hours per week
* Leading and supporting the Personal Development Tutor
* Ensuring curriculum content remains relevant, engaging and inclusive
* Using learner voice, research and current affairs to shape programme development
* Facilitating complex and sensitive discussions safely and respectfully
* Overseeing curriculum resources across wider provision
* Supporting PSHE delivery within associated school provision
About You
* Relevant degree or professional qualification
* Level 2 English and Maths
* Teaching qualification highly desirable
* Experience delivering PSHE, personal development or related education programmes
* Strong curriculum planning and development skills
* Confident covering topics including citizenship, careers, inclusion, politics, community issues and sexual health
* Passionate about supporting young people to thrive
