Customer Account Manager

Applicants must be based within an hour’s commute of Bedfordshire to attend monthly team meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the key contact for a portfolio of education and public sector clients
• Manage procurement requests through benchmarking, mini competitions, and direct awards
• Liaise with a network of pre-approved suppliers to gather and assess proposals
• Guide clients through their purchasing decisions and help develop their procurement documentation
• Prepare contracts and ensure smooth delivery, invoicing, and communication
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems and provide reports as needed
• Champion high standards of customer service and process compliance

About You

• Highly organised with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and comfortable handling complex documentation
• Self-motivated, proactive, and confident working remotely
• Experienced in or familiar with the education sector or public sector procurement

Desirable Experience

• Background in customer service, procurement, sales support, or working with schools/trusts
• Familiarity with CRM systems
• CIPS qualification or working knowledge of UK Public Procurement practices
