Customer Account Manager

Are you naturally good with people, organised and someone who likes to get things done?

We’re working with a growing business who are looking for a Customer Account Manager to take ownership of their existing customer relationships. This is a relationship-led role, focused on delivering great customer service, keeping on top of actions and identifying opportunities to develop existing accounts.

The Role:

Managing a portfolio of existing customer accounts and becoming their key point of contact
Building strong relationships via phone, email and regular face-to-face customer visits
Carrying out customer and contract reviews, ensuring actions are followed through
Proactively following up outstanding quotes, repairs and customer queries
Taking ownership of customer issues and seeing them through to resolution
Working closely with engineers and internal teams to ensure customers receive the right level of service
Identifying additional requirements and opportunities to develop existing accounts
Keeping customer records and activity up to date across CRM, JobLogic and internal systems
Helping customers understand the value of their existing service and wider solutions available
The Person:

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and genuinely enjoys building customer relationships.

Previous experience in account management or a similar customer-focused role
Confident picking up the phone and speaking with customers at all levels
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and follow-through
A natural problem-solver who takes ownership rather than passing issues on
Commercially minded, with the confidence to identify opportunities within existing accounts
Good IT skills and comfortable learning new systems
Confident meeting customers face-to-face and building relationships
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
Happy to learn about the specialist products and services the business provides 
The Package:

£30,000 - £33,000pa basic salary + bonus
Monday to Friday, 7.30am–4.30pm
Burgess Hill
Predominantly office-based with occasional customer visits
