Job Description - Customer Advisor

Role: Customer Take Over Advisor
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £25,000 basic, increasing to £27,000 with role progression, plus up to £6,000 commission
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 09:00–17:30, Monday to Friday
Annual Leave: 29 days including bank holidays, increasing to 31 days after 1 year of service
 

About the Role

We are seeking a Customer Take Over Advisor to join our Customer Moves & Take Over Team in Newcastle. In this role, you will manage situations where a Verisure security system requires a change of ownership, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition for both outgoing and incoming customers while identifying opportunities to grow our customer base.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to contract title changes and new owner Take Overs.
  • When a new owner moves into a property with an operative Verisure system already installed. Your role is to guide them through the full Take Over process, explain the services we provide, ensure a smooth and compliant transfer.  Arrange a visit from a Field Security Expert to sign the new contract and demonstrate how the security system works.
  • Additionally, when the existing customer is moving out of their property, you will explore opportunities to retain them as a Verisure customer, arranging an installation at their new home or business.
  • When the same occupants remain in the property but require a change of title holder, you will arrange a visit from a Field Security Expert to complete the signing of the new contract, ensuring the customer’s service continues without interruption.
  • Resolve customer queries with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service continuity and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced call centre environment, ideally with experience in customer service, retention, or upselling.
  • A customer-first mindset with empathy and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining high service standards with attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, commercial mindset.
  • Comfortable working with performance targets and KPIs.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
  • Adaptable to change and open to learning.
