Job Description - Customer Returns Coordinator

Customer Returns Coordinator

Harlow - Warehouse-based.

circa £27,000 – £30,000 (DOE)

Full-Time, Permanent

We're hiring a proactive, customer-focused, and detail-driven Returns QC Operative to take full ownership of our client's customer returns process, based in their modern warehouse environment, where organisation and efficiency are top priorities. If you thrive in a hands-on environment, love solving problems, and have a knack for technical products like gaming gear, mobile phones, STEM & smart tech, AV systems, toys or gifts, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own the returns journey – from receiving returned items to deciding whether they're restocked, repaired, or responsibly disposed of.
  • Test returned tech – Perform functional testing (FTR) on technical products to pinpoint faults and assess resale potential.
  • Process FOC (Free of Charge) orders – Accurately handle goodwill replacements and ensure timely dispatch.
  • QC incoming stock– Check quantities, spot damages, and uphold product quality for new deliveries.
  • Spot recurring issues – Identify and report common product faults to help improve product and service quality.
  • Keep accurate records – Log returns, test results, and QC findings with precision.
  • Support the warehouse team – Help with picking, packing, or additional QC when return volumes are low.
  • Drive improvement by suggesting ideas to make the returns and QC processes better, faster, and more efficient.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience in returns, customer service, admin, or QC, ideally in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills – able to handle customer issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Solid communication skills to liaise confidently with office and warehouse teams.
  • Sharp attention to detail and high organisational standards.
  • Comfortable with basic IT systems and data entry.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach – ready to adapt to whatever the day demands.
