Job Description - Customer / Sales Administrator

Job Title: Customer / Sales Administrator
Location: Chesterfield, UK (Office-Based)
Job Type: Permanent Role
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Contract Sales Support. This role is key in ensuring the smooth and compliant processing of customer orders while providing day-to-day support to the Contract Account Managers.

Based in Chesterfield, you’ll be part of a collaborative administration team with a strong customer focus. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent coordination, communication, and Microsoft Office skills to thrive in a structured but fast-paced commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Contract Account Managers and internal departments
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and manage sales tracking tools
  • Ensure timely and accurate order entry in line with customer and company requirements
  • Liaise directly with customers regarding order updates, forecasts, and queries
  • Troubleshoot and escalate customer account issues when needed
  • Assist with preparing quotations and following up on customer requirements
  • Participate in customer meetings and reviews

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident working independently and managing time effectively
  • Detail-focused with excellent administrative and organisational abilities
  • Commercially aware and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) to a high standard
  • Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Knowledge of customer service and aftersales processes
  • Basic understanding of commercial processes and financial impact
