Customer Service Administrator

Streamline Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Customer Service Administrator to join a busy logistics operation based in Stanford-le-Hope. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to join a fast-paced team, providing essential administrative support and helping ensure the smooth running of daily transport activities.

The Role

Working closely with customers and the wider operations team, you will help coordinate bookings, maintain accurate records and support the day-to-day movement of containers. You will need to communicate confidently with a range of contacts, manage competing priorities and ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle day-to-day enquiries from customers, drivers, transport operators and internal colleagues.

* Coordinate export bookings and carry out vessel and booking checks.

* Communicate with shipping lines and depot contacts to help organise container movements.

* Monitor shared email inboxes and update customer systems and portals.

* Check booking information and verify container-related details.

* Keep operational records and customer information accurate and up to date.

* Provide administrative assistance to planners, operators and drivers.

* Help resolve queries and ensure relevant information is passed to the correct departments.

* Support the wider team with general office and operational administration.

What We’re Looking For

* Experience within transport, logistics, shipping or container operations.

* Familiarity with export documentation, shipping line bookings or depot procedures.

* Previous experience supporting a busy operational or customer service department.

Salary: Approximately £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30
