Job Description - Customer service advisor

Job Title: Customer Service Advisor
Location: Stockport
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £25,300 per annum
Work Setup: Hybrid (Office-based Monday-Thursday, Remote on Fridays)

We're working with a well-established manufacturer and eCommerce leader with a reputation for delivering top-quality products across multiple sectors. The business is growing and they're looking to expand the friendly and professional customer service team with the addition of a Customer Service Advisor.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the go-to person for customer enquiries, offering top-tier support via phone and email. Your goal will be to deliver a smooth and positive experience for every customer interaction.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all customer queries.
  • Deliver prompt, polite, and knowledgeable responses to phone and email enquiries.
  • Manage and resolve customer concerns efficiently and empathetically.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our products to provide accurate information.
  • Handle orders, requests, and applications.
  • Keep detailed records of conversations and transactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address customer needs.
  • Offer suggestions for improving the customer service process.
  • Assist in guiding and supporting newer team members.
  • Strive to meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Experience in a customer service role, ideally involving phone support.
  • A team player attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Your Working Hours:

  • Office: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Remote: Friday (After training)
