We're looking for a Customer Service & Till Team Leader to join a well-established garden centre, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the customer service and till operation.
This is a busy, hands-on role where you'll be supporting the team, solving problems and making sure customers receive a consistently high standard of service.
You'll be dealing with a wide range of customers, so we're looking for someone who is confident, personable and comfortable handling more detailed queries or difficult conversations when they arise.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and support the Customer Service and Till team day-to-day. Make sure high standards of customer service are maintained across the department. Support customers with queries, refunds, exchanges and more complex issues. Organise rotas and make sure the team is in the right place at the right time. Support with recruitment, training and development of the team. Oversee till procedures and the smooth running of the front-of-house area. Help coordinate customer orders, deliveries and collections. Work closely with the wider management team and other departments. Get stuck in and support the team during busy periods.About You
You're already working as a Team Leader or Supervisor, and have been in a very similar position.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who is comfortable speaking with customers, can think on their feet and isn't easily flustered when dealing with a challenging situation.
You'll ideally be:
Confident and professional with customers. Comfortable dealing with queries and complaints. A strong communicator who can adapt to different people and situations. Calm and organised when things get busy. Able to lead, support and motivate a team. Hands-on and happy to lead by example. Used to working in an environment where customer service standards are important.Experience with rotas, recruitment or training would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in someone with the right attitude and potential to develop.
