Job Description - Customer Support Administrator

Customer Support Administrator

Location: Silverstone
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)

The Company

Our client is a successful and growing business operating within a specialist technical sector. They are looking to recruit a Customer Support Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team.

This role would suit someone with previous office-based customer service experience who enjoys speaking with customers, processing information accurately, and working in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Customer Support Administrator, you will act as a key point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a high level of service throughout the customer journey.

Due to the location of the office, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as public transport options are limited.

Key responsibilities include:

Handling customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online channels.

Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Producing and following up sales quotations.

Maintaining customer records and updating information on internal systems.

Managing data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

Monitoring order progress and keeping customers informed of updates.

Assisting with back-order management and order tracking.

Running reports and maintaining accurate system data.

Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Supporting the wider team with administrative duties as required.

Gathering customer feedback and identifying opportunities for service improvements.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Previous office-based customer service experience.

Strong telephone customer service skills and confidence communicating with customers.

Excellent data entry and administration skills with a keen eye for detail.

Good IT skills, including experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

A professional, friendly, and proactive approach.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Please Note

This role is best suited to candidates with experience in an office or business support environment. Whilst customer-facing skills are important, applicants from purely retail customer service backgrounds may not have the level of administrative and order-processing experience required for this position.
