Customs Clearance Agent (Coventry)
~ Permanent ~ Monday to Friday ~

Location: Coventry, Warwickshire

Pay rate: £33,000 - £37,000 Per Year Dependent on Experience

In-house Customs Clearance Agent Job role:

1. Completing Import and Export SADs, and Transit documents for the internal planning teams, as well as the necessary port authority references (PBN, GMR etc) for the vehicle.
2. Promptly and professionally fulfil customs requests from clients for whom we only provide Customs Services
3. The ability to critically assess the information (invoice/CMR etc) presented by the customer for all relevant details required to produce the requested customs documents.
4. Updating the in house operating system

Customs Clearance Agent Shift pattern:
• Monday to Friday with occasional addition shifts on Saturday.
• 07:00 - 10:00 start time

What we are looking for in a Transport Planner:

1. Strong IT skills with the ability to Operate Word, Excel and Outlook
2. High level of organisation and time management skills
3. At least two year’s experience in Customs Clearance for road freight.
4. Knowledge of EU TRACES, IPAFFs and CHEDP’s would be of benefit.
5. Comfortable completing import and export declarations for movements EU/UK and IRL/UK, in both directions.
6. An understanding of the requirements for Transit declarations, and proper discharge procedures.
