Job Description - Customs Coordinator

We are looking for someone with experience in customs for an opportunity at one of our clients in Manchester. This role would suit someone who has experience in a freight forwarder or who completed customs entries on behalf of a company.

This role is working in the road freight team so all of the customs documentation and entries will be for European Road Freight shipments.

The company offers a friendly working environment where employees are valued and made to feel part of a team. The Directors want to look after their staff and they rarely have vacancies in the team.

Main duties to include:

Assist with general logistics and trailer department tasks, including data entry customs clearance procedures.
Make and receive customer service calls, including following up on routed traffic and enquiries.
Provide general office support as required.

We’re looking for:

Previous experience in logistics
Knowledge of customs
Confident and professional telephone manner.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proactive and able to follow through on tasks independently.
A team player willing to assist where needed.

Benefits:

Salary £28k-£33k dep on exp
Hours: 9am-5pm Mon-Fri with 1 hour for lunch
22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
