Customs Entry Clerk

Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join our friendly and proactive Client in Dagenham, Essex.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export
• Dealing with entry queries – commodity codes, duty rates, licences and documentation requirements etc
• Calculation of Duty and VAT rates per consignment
• Processing duty reclaims
• Maintaining compliance with current and evolving customs legislation
• Month end department compliance.

You will need:

• Confident and outgoing individual.
• Experience within a Freight Forwarding environment essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of customs procedures and principles
• Able to communicate in a clear, concise, and logical manner both verbally and written.
• Be able to organise and multi-task.
• Experience with Sequoia Software an advantage
• Good time management skills.
• Driver with own transport is desirable.
• UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
