Cyber Security Architect - UK (Flexible Location) Salary: £65,000-£75,000 per year (depending on experience) Working Model: Hybrid/Onsite as required (London)
Are you a technically skilled professional with a passion for securing complex systems? Our client, a leading UK defence and government-focused technology organisation, is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile programmes where security is critical, across both IT and operational technology environments.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with solution and technical architects to define security architecture for advanced enterprise and operational systems.
Lead threat modelling exercises and provide expert guidance on risk mitigation.
Advise on security requirements through the full system lifecycle, including design, delivery, and operational stages.
Implement best practices across authentication, authorization, protective monitoring, and control frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
Communicate complex technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting and writing guidance documentation.
We are looking for candidates with:
Strong experience in security across at least one domain: IP networking/OT, cloud platforms and containerisation, on-prem architecture/virtualisation, databases/LLMs, or mobile/application security.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing security solutions, ideally within high-security environments.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work flexibly and travel to client sites as needed.
Security Requirement: Candidates must be sole British Nationals and will undergo DV clearance. A background working on government or high-security accounts is advantageous.
