Damp and Mould Surveyor

Our client, with operations across the Southwest are currently recruiting for a Damp and Mould Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and offers a salary of up to £48,000 per year inclusive of car allowance and mileage reimbursement rate of 0.45p per mile.

The ideal candidate will have spent a number of years working in Social Housing, have a wealth of Damp and Mould Surveying experience and hold a relevant Surveying qualification such as an HNC.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out damp and mould disrepair, identifying building defects and completing any further inspections to provide advice on remedial works required
• Liaising directly with the DLO and overseeing contractors to ensure remedial works are in adherence with company standards
• Acting as the on-site expert for the solicitors to rely on when in court through detailed and accurate property condition surveys
• Assisting the maintenance surveyors with damp and mould surveys when faced with complex properties and providing training when required

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• HHSRS and Damp & Mould legislation
