Damp and Mould Surveyor

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Bristol, who are recruiting for a Damp and Mould Surveyor on a temporary six-month contract. The position is due to start immediately and offers a cmpetitive rate of up to £300 per day.

The ideal candidate will extensively Damp and Mould Surveying experience within social housing and live within a commutable distance of Bristol.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):Conducting thorough property inspections to identify signs of damp, mould, and condensation in tenant homes and communal areas.

• Diagnosing root causes of damp and mould issues, including building defects, ventilation failures, and lifestyle factors.
• Preparing detailed reports with photographic evidence, root cause analysis, and recommended remedial actions.
• Working closely with repairs, maintenance, and asset teams to ensure effective and timely resolution of damp and mould cases.
• Liaising with tenants to explain findings, provide guidance on prevention, and ensure residents are treated with empathy and respect
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing
• Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Damp and Mould Compliance
• HHSRS and awareness of the upcoming AWAAB’s law legislation
