* Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes and monitor corrective actions.
* Prepare statutory DGSA annual reports and provide management with clear compliance insights and assurance.
* Support customers, regulators and external auditors, and advise on new dangerous goods services and operational processes.
* Work with SHE, Operations and Training colleagues to develop awareness and competency programmes and respond to legislative developments.
What you’ll bring
* A valid Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser qualification for road transport (ADR).
* At least three years’ experience in a DGSA, dangerous goods compliance or operational dangerous goods management role.
* Strong working knowledge of ADR and UK Carriage of Dangerous Goods legislation, including classification, packaging, marking, labelling and documentation requirements.
* Experience of audits, inspections, incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
* A background supporting operational teams in logistics, transport, freight, distribution or supply chain environments.
* The ability to translate legislation into workable controls, analyse compliance trends and present clear reports to management.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a pragmatic, organised approach and the confidence to influence operational leaders.
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the DX network.
Experience with the IMDG Code, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, dangerous goods warehousing and storage, multi-site logistics operations or regulatory inspections would be advantageous, as would a qualification or experience in Health, Safety and Environmental management.
