Data Analyst

Data Analyst, Preston, up to £35k doe

Adele Carr Recruitment have the pleasure of working exclusively with this successful, well established distribution company. Due to growth they are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their Purchasing team. This is a key role focused on maintaining accurate, up-to-date system information and using data insights to drive smarter purchasing decisions. You'll work closely with various departments, especially Sales and Purchasing, to enhance operational efficiency and support customer onboarding.

• Maintaining and updating the system with accurate cost pricing, descriptions, and coding.

• Analyse stock levels, sales data, costs, and margins to identify actionable trends.

• Create and maintain spreadsheets/tools to streamline departmental processes.

• Investigate data anomalies and areas of interest, such as unusual stock movement or shifting sales patterns.

• Work with Sales to help new customers transition smoothly to the businesses systems (e.g. code mapping, process simplification).

• Develop and manage KPIs, and produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

• Support product setup tasks including new code creation, pricing, and bulk uploads.

• Collaborate closely with the Purchasing Manager and provide cross-departmental data support.

• Transform raw reports/data into meaningful insights for teams across the business.
