Data Analyst

We’re looking for a dynamic, curious, and results-driven Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be the data-savvy right hand of our Head of Business Intelligence, crafting meaningful insights that empower operational excellence and innovative marketing strategies. You’ll be joining Usay Compare, the UK’s leading comparison service for Private Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, and Income Protection. We make it easy for people to access the best policies on the market, working with top insurers to deliver expert advice and outstanding service.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver timely and accurate management information to stakeholders across the business — daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc.
• Collaborate with operational and marketing teams to build and refine data processes that support impactful multi-channel campaigns.
• Design, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports using Power BI, MySQL, and Excel Power Query.
• Create robust SQL scripts to enhance reporting accuracy and automate routine data tasks.
• Validate data integrity, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support investigations into anomalies and trends.
• Import/export large data sets and contribute to the effective operation of our data warehouse.
• Deliver insights and feedback to senior leadership, influencing key business decisions.
• Support FCA regulatory standards by embedding data transparency and governance into everyday practice.

About You

• Proven experience in MI reporting and data analysis
• Skilled in MySQL, Power BI, and intermediate to advanced Excel
• Familiar with Power Automate, Excel Power Query, SharePoint, and BigQuery
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset
• High attention to detail and analytical rigour
• Excellent prioritisation skills and stakeholder management experience
