Job Description - Data Analyst

Data Analyst

Contract | Remote | UK Public Sector Project

Ceox Services is seeking a Data Analyst to support data analysis activity across internal systems and connected applications. You will play a key role in structuring and interpreting data flows, improving data quality, and creating meaningful insight outputs to support decision-making across the programme. This role involves working across complex datasets, enhancing reporting capability, and shaping data foundations for wider organisational use.

Who We’re Looking For

An experienced Data Analyst with strong analytical ability, capable of interpreting large data sets, validating information from multiple sources, and producing clear visual insights. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and programme leads to understand data structures, reporting requirements, and opportunities for improvement.

You should be confident in exploring data behaviour across systems, identifying quality or structural issues, and applying logic to uncover trends, risks, and correlations. If you are someone who enjoys transforming raw data into meaningful information that drives decisions, this role will suit you well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, validate and manage data from multiple systems and sources.

  • Perform data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, visualisations, and reports using BI/analytics tools.

  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions.

  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment with governance and security standards.

  • Produce clear, visually compelling insights for non-technical audiences and decision-makers.

  • Support data structuring and organisation across systems and connected platforms.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical capability with proven experience interpreting complex datasets.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating data into clear insights.

  • High attention to detail with strong data quality and validation discipline.

  • Experience with reporting and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Excel BI).

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience using Python or R for statistical analysis or automation.

  • Knowledge of statistical modelling, forecasting, or predictive analytics.

  • Experience with Azure data services, SQL or cloud-based data stacks.

  • Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing and large-volume data handling.

  • Experience working within enterprise technology or complex system landscapes.

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

  • Location: Remote (UK-based candidates preferred)

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to work with UK Government departments / BPSS.
