Data & Analytics Manager

An opportunity to take ownership of the data and analytics agenda for Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory within a major international food manufacturing organisation.

Operating across a complex manufacturing and supply chain network, you’ll sit at the intersection of food safety, quality, data and digital systems – turning complex information into insight that helps the business identify risk earlier, improve performance and make better decisions.

This isn’t simply a reporting role. You’ll be expected to shape what the business measures, challenge how it measures it and ensure data leads to meaningful action.

The Role

Reporting into the FSQR Director, you’ll lead a small specialist team and take responsibility for the development and delivery of the FSQR data and analytics strategy.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Manufacturing, Technical/Quality, Procurement, R&D, Regulatory, Risk and IT.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Owning and developing the global FSQR KPI and performance framework, covering food safety, quality, compliance and risk.

* Designing and continuously improving dashboards and reporting used by senior operational and functional leaders.

* Turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights rather than simply reporting historic performance.

* Monitoring global food safety indicators and identifying trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.

* Developing the use of predictive and statistical analytics to support earlier identification of food safety and quality risk.

* Leading analysis of consumer and market complaints, including food safety, foreign body, quality and regulatory issues.

* Using complaint data to identify trends, root causes and preventative actions across sites and markets.

* Acting as system owner for specialist FSQR platforms including Unilab, LIMS, Quality Management Systems and Salesforce.

* Supporting the selection, configuration, implementation and continued development of FSQR technology.

* Improving data integrity, system adoption and integration across the wider Supply Chain environment.

* Leading, coaching and developing a team of three data and analytics professionals.

* Supporting audits, inspections and regulatory activity through accurate, robust and defensible data.

About You

We’re looking for somebody who combines strong data and analytics capability with a genuine understanding of operational manufacturing and quality.

You’re likely to have:

* Significant experience within data, analytics, business intelligence or performance management.

* Experience gained within FMCG, food manufacturing, manufacturing or another highly regulated environment.

* Strong experience developing KPI frameworks, dashboards and senior-level performance reporting.

* The ability to translate large or complex datasets into clear commercial and operational recommendations.

* An understanding of food safety, quality, compliance or regulatory risk – ideally within a manufacturing or Supply Chain environment.

* Experience owning or implementing specialist quality, laboratory or business systems.

* Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge senior colleagues using evidence and data.

* Previous people-management experience.

* Experience operating within a large, matrixed organisation.

Experience with Unilab, LIMS, Salesforce, Quality Management Systems or similar platforms would be particularly relevant, as would exposure to digital transformation or data-modernisation programmes.
