£80,000 - £100,000 + car allowance, generous bonus, private medical and other extensive benefits

Hybrid - weekly travel required to Oxfordshire head office required initially, flexible longer term

The Company:

My client is an industry leading and award-winning financial services organisation who operate on a global scale. They are headquartered in Oxfordshire, UK and also have offices throughout Europe and the US.

The Role:

We are looking for a driven and experienced Data Architect to join a rapidly growing team during an exciting period of change. This is a role where you can really make your mark and impact change very quickly .

As the Data Architect you will need to understand how the business works and its aspirations with regards to Data to ensure you can translate that into the correct architecture and contribute to sustained growth of business units domestically and internationally.

You will work closely with the wider Data and Architecture teams to ensure delivery of cohesive technical architecture, whilst maintaining a day-to-day understanding of how the data practice is functioning.

You will need to be happy commuting to the Oxfordshire head office once a week initially however this is more flexible once embedded.

The Person:

• Proven experience as a Data Architect in a fast paced and complex business environment.
• Must have solid experience and knowledge of Azure data platform technologies, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Databricks.
• Must have hands on experience of working in Databricks, in particular design and usage of the Delta Lake storage format is required
• You will ideally be a Microsoft BI Stack expert
• Previous experience of working in a Scrum environment and being familiar with source control repositories is preferred.
• Absolutely must be a very good collaborator capable of working closely and building relationships with the wider business.
