Data Architect (Manager) - UK Remote First
Up to £125k base | Bonus | SC Eligible | Healthcare Experience Required

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a leading organisation transforming digital services across the UK. You will provide SME guidance in traditional data architecture disciplines including data structures, flows, sourcing, and governance, while working closely with clients to ensure solutions are fit for purpose. You will also provide technical leadership and mentoring to your team, guiding them on best practices and industry standards.

This is a UK-wide, remote-first role with a focus on healthcare sector experience. Candidates must be SC eligible; sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership across data projects, ensuring quality, standards, and best practice.
• Design and implement data architecture solutions across complex stakeholder environments.
• Lead solution or enterprise-level initiatives, resolving data definition, mastering, and migration challenges.
• Manage, coach, and develop a small team, supporting performance and career growth.
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, offering thought leadership and guidance.
• Keep up to date with mainstream data technologies and wider data trends.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience within the UK healthcare or public sector.
• Strong expertise in core data architecture disciplines: data modelling, metadata management, transformation, migration, and master data.
• Track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and standards definition.
• Experience in product or technology selection at project or enterprise level.
• Excellent client engagement and communication skills.
• Highly proficient in at least three mainstream data technologies.
• Self-starter capable of operating in uncertain and dynamic environments.

Desirable:

• Experience defining information handling models and capacity planning across heterogeneous data stores.
• Familiarity with data governance processes.
• Experience architecting data lakes and associated solutions.
• Enterprise Data Architecture experience.
