Data Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team in a pivotal role that involves designing, building, and maintaining robust data infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a critical part in enhancing our data management and analytics capabilities to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Ensure the integrity and security of data by implementing data governance policies.
• Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal data flow and quality.
• Utilise ETL processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
• Monitor and optimise data systems for performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages relevant to data manipulation.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL tools.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and big data technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning frameworks.
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
