Data Engineer

Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: London, UK (3 days per week on-site)
Rate: £450 - £550 per day, Outside IR35 (dependent on experience)
Duration: 6 months

Tec Partners are working with a leading technology client, who are currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer to work on a customer assignment to modernise their data platform, and enable AI-driven automation across workflows on Databricks and Azure.

As a Data Engineer, you will focus on designing and building data pipelines and platform foundations, underpinning automation and analytics. You will work on Databricks and Azure alongside an AI /GenAI Engineer and customer teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and deploy data pipelines on Databricks (ingest, transform, curate)

* Develop lakehouse architecture (medallion layers) and Unity Catalog governance

* Integrate Azure-based data services with Databricks

* Prepare and structure data

What we are looking for:

* Proven Data Engineering experience.

* Experience building production-grade pipelines at scale

* Proven experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog

* Strong Python and SQL

* Strong experience with Azure cloud data services
