Data Engineer - Manager | Up to £110,000

An international Insurance company which is headquartered in the US, is looking to hire a Data Science Manager do join its Analytics team in London.

This team is well established and has been using leading technologies for the past few years.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with strategic partners to address business challenges by guiding junior team members in developing top-tier data solutions.
Oversee data engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Establish strong partnerships with peers across the organization to support data-related objectives.
Proactively design intuitive data structures that anticipate analytical needs.
Investigate new technologies and data sources with curiosity and creativity.
Utilize technology to automate data ingestion and integrate external and internal data sources.
Ensure thorough documentation of data sources and technical solutions.

Requirements:
4+ years of data engineering experience.
2+ years of project management experience
Proven experience in building data structures to support analytics, research, or actuarial functions within an insurance company.
Proficiency with cloud technologies such as Snowflake and Databricks.
Familiarity with the MLOps framework.
Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and engage team members effectively.
Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable with handling ambiguous concepts and breaking down complex problems into manageable components.
Strong data manipulation skills for analytical purposes.
Resilient problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and design.
