About the role
The Data Governance & Quality Lead will play a pivotal role in establishing and embedding effective data governance, stewardship, and data quality practices across the organisation’s Dynamics 365 ecosystem and connected applications. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, process owners, data owners, and technical teams, this role will drive the identification, prioritisation, remediation, and prevention of data quality issues that impact operational performance, customer experience, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will develop and implement a robust governance framework, define data ownership and accountability structures, and lead data quality improvement initiatives across key business processes. Through root cause analysis, stakeholder engagement, data quality monitoring, and the delivery of targeted data cleansing and remediation activities using Microsoft Dataverse and the Power Platform, the role will ensure that organisational data is accurate, trusted, auditable, and fit for purpose. The role will also champion a culture of data accountability by establishing governance standards, policies, controls, metrics, and stewardship practices that support sustainable improvements in data integrity and business outcomes.
What you'll bring
You'll bring proven experience in data governance, data quality management, data stewardship, and data cleansing within Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments, with a strong understanding of Master Data Management principles and their application in complex business settings. You will have hands-on experience using data profiling, cleansing, and ETL tools to identify, analyse, and resolve data quality issues, alongside strong analytical skills that enable you to categorise issues, assess their impact, and determine effective solutions. Comfortable working across both business and technical teams, you will be skilled at translating business processes and requirements into practical data quality standards, controls, and improvement initiatives. You will be a collaborative problem solver who can build strong stakeholder relationships, navigate complex data challenges, and identify both risks and opportunities for improvement. With excellent attention to detail, balanced by a pragmatic and outcome-focused approach, you will be able to work independently, take ownership of priorities, and deliver measurable improvements that enhance the accuracy, integrity, and value of organisational data.
