Job Description - Data Integration Engineer

The Company
Nigel Wright is delighted to be working with a unique software business in their search for a Data Integration Engineer.

The Role
The organisation would like the ideal candidate to manage and support their on-premise and cloud based IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintain and optimise SQL Server databases
  • Develop and troubleshoot SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) ETL Processes
  • Performance tuning, indexing and query optimisation
  • Proficient in deploying and maintaining Azure laaS/PaaS resources including Virtual Machines, App Services and SQL Databases
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues
  • Implementing VPNs, site to site and remote access configurations

The Requirements
Key Requirements include:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, performance tuning)
  • Azure cloud expertise (App services, VMs, SQL, AKS)
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (Fortinet, SonicWall) and network security
  • Excellent trouble shooting, problem solving and communication skills
