A modern Professional Services business are now recruiting for a Debt Controller to join their team in the NE1 area.

They are looking for a Debt Control and Admin Assistant to join their office in Newcastle on a long-term permanent basis. This job is ideal for a tolerant and understanding individual who is looking for a move into professional and legal services, with a background in credit and debt control.

Job description for Debt Controller

• Investigating and resolving queries regarding payments, late payments and non-payments.
• Building and maintaining relationships between the company and the client, ensuring that they feel supported and understood throughout the process.
• Escalating accounts to legal level for recovery of debt.
• Assessing and reporting risks/exposure that may result in late payment.
• Maintenance of system data.
• Ad-hoc administration tasks where necessary.

Job skills required for Debt Controller

• Knowledge of Microsoft packages to an advanced level.
• High volume processing knowledge and experience.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Confident, friendly and professional phone (and email) manner.
• Data entry skills.
