This is a Technical Manager role within the Decision Science team, responsible for the managing the BAU IFRS9 Process, generating the monthly outputs, coding up and testing model changes, maintaining well structured change logs and formats, investigating model movements and supporting performance queries and credit analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the workload and delivery of your team, identify areas for improvement and escalating challeneges to management
• Own and deliver the BAU IFRS9 process, including timely production and validation of monthly outputs
• Develop, implement, and rigorously test model changes, ensuring accuracy and robustness of code
• Maintain clear, structured documentation and change logs to support governance and audit requirements
• Investigate model performance and movements, providing insights and supporting credit analysis and stakeholder queries

This role will support our regulatory reporting and expansion as we acquire and engage in new business areas, and allow you to expand your analytical and coding skills whilst performing meaningful and varied analysis to support the bank

Skills & Experience

• Experiance leading a technical team and delivery clear outputs to regular timelines
• Proven experience in producing analytics in financial services or equivalent
• Experience writing production code to a high level of quality
• A broad understanding of modelling techniques and capital and/or impairment
• Experience in credit risk reporting

Technical

• Strong SAS and Python skills, SQL experience would help
• Modelling and analytics skills
• Strong Microsoft skills in Excel, Word and Power point. VBA experience would help
• Ability to convert numbers to meaningful data
• Analytical background with modelling experience in some of: regression, econometrics, time series, simulations and optimization.
