Job Description - Deli Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Part-Time Deli Assistant for a brand new deli which is scheduled to open on 1st July in Cockermouth. You will be joining the business right at the start and your ideas and input will be welcomed and encouraged.

Your new job:

General duties including food preparation, inventory management, and customer service.

Ensuring that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with established recipes and standards.

Maintain accurate inventory records, order supplies and collect as needed, and ensure that the deli section is properly stocked always.

Adhering the Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations always.

Attend training and keep training records up to date concerning Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations.

Monitor and track deli section sales and performance, providing regular reports to the management team.

Requirements

Experience working in a deli or food service setting.

Must be able to cook and prepare meals.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.

Must be hard-working, presentable with good personal hygiene.

Benefits

Part-Time Deli Assistant (Homestyle Deli Cockermouth)

Hourly Wage - £12.21 per hour

Hours Per Week - 16 hours

Working times to be confirmed at interview

Planned opening (July 1st 2025)
