About the Role

Maintenance Buddy Ltd is recruiting reliable and professional Delivery Drivers to join our growing network of workers.

We work with businesses that require additional delivery support, including during busy periods, seasonal demand and periods where additional drivers are required.

Key Responsibilities

* As a Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include:

* Safely delivering parcels, goods and other items to customers.

* Following allocated delivery routes and instructions.

* Loading and unloading goods safely.

* Completing deliveries within the required timeframe.

* Providing professional and courteous customer service.

* Using delivery applications, handheld devices or other technology where required.

* Following all relevant health and safety procedures.

* Carrying out vehicle safety checks where applicable.

* Reporting delivery issues, delays, accidents or vehicle problems promptly.

* Maintaining professional standards throughout each assignment.

* Following the requirements and procedures of the delivery client.

Working Hours

The standard assignment is an 8-hour shift.

Work is offered according to client requirements and driver availability. Maintenance Buddy aims to provide suitable working opportunities where available, but the amount of work may vary depending on business demand.

Pay

£17.00 per hour

Based on an 8-hour shift, this is £136 per completed shift, subject to the applicable terms of the assignment.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

* Be reliable and punctual.

* Have good communication and customer-service skills.

* Be able to work independently.

* Be able to follow delivery instructions and routes.

* Be physically able to safely handle parcels and goods.

* Have the appropriate driving entitlement for the vehicle being used.

* Meet the legal requirements applicable to the role.

* Have the right to work in the UK.

* Be willing to complete the required onboarding and checks.

Desirable

* Previous delivery-driving experience.

* Experience using delivery apps or handheld devices.

* Previous multi-drop delivery experience.

* Good knowledge of local roads and navigation.

* Customer-service experience.

Previous delivery experience is beneficial but not essential where the applicant can demonstrate the required skills, attitude and suitability for the role.
