As a Delivery Driver 3.5T based in Canterbury you’ll be responsible for:  

• Driving a 3.5T van with a tail lift to deliver large and heavy plumbing and heating supplies mainly within the CT postcode area.

• Generally you will be carrying out deliveries to our customers who include building/construction sites, social housing, and members of the public.

• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators toilets and sinks.

• When you are not driving you will be assisting in the warehouse with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.

• Carrying out vehicle checks.

• Potentially serving customers at the trade counter.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30. No weekend work required apart from during stocktake season.

And here’s what we’d like you to have: 

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

• Previous multidrop delivery and experience of driving a 3.5T van.

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills.

• To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
